Enter The Soil - The Still Forest, Bathed in Mist

Decent sounding one man FD/DD project from New Zealand.

Plateau Sigma/ symbols - a sleeping harmony

Very good melo doom band. A track like "The White Virgin" is an excellent example of the kind of mellow prog doom I like.

Before that, it was Mansion/ first death of the lutheran. Fine retro doom rock band. Nice low-range female vocals.

A great rehearsal track. Definitely looses steam around the middle part, but it's quite refreshing to hear such a well done raw track as this. The first 5 minutes especially are as fantastic and bleak as only Nevertanezra's Bastard of Prometheus has been in recent years.

(I've never viewed Plateau Sigma as proggy, maybe I should look it from this perspective, although I won't like them more if I start noticing proggy stuff there=)

baphomet approved. :thumbs-up:

prog in the sense of building slowly a song in an unpredictable direction... in my mouth, 'prog' isn't really 'proggy' :D

It's well made, but I turned it off after 5 minutes. I'm a bit tired of this stereotypical FD, to be honest. This sounds like a track from 15 years ago.

I agree it might be stereotypical FD from 15 years ago - but this has actually became very rare (and cherished=) in recent years=) But if you wen't sold on the first 5 minutes, the rest won't change your mind for sure=)

Beatrice Dalle looks kind of frightening! I noticed Hangman's Chair is featuring on the last song of the new Perturbator record. I guess this must be the singer only that participates...

Now:
Рожь - Вечное - the doom is great, the black is annoying and too present

I do not know who Beatrice Dalle is, but the video is awful. And I was disappointed by the track, it's quite poppy and light-hearted.

Рожь - Вечное - same thoughts - their doom is still fantastic but they are moving further away into black metal, quite sad...

A French actress whose career had its peak in the late 80'... Famous at least for the film '37°2 le matin', in English 'Betty Blue'.
Then she went through a bad patch that lasted quite a long time and returned on the screen in low-budget, dark movies.
I don't know if the term is right, but I'd say she's become a kind of 'muse' for the underground in France.

She was pretty well known in Italy too. I agree that the video could be better. Regarding the song, it's a nice poppy metal anthem. They might turn into Coldplay soon.

Hyponic - 前行者 - pure brilliance, I long for more.

Nortt - all - for me this is the best active band besides Esoteric, I really hope there will be a follow-up to Endeligt

FUNERIS / As the dark lulls

the band's best album to date, and it's very good, fluent, melodic, mastered.

Ennoa/ pistis sophia. Wonderful droney sludgy doom.

Aphonic Threnody - The All Consuming Void
My Dying Bride - 34.7888%…Complete

The AT is better than the last one…
The MDB is doomier than I remember it…
