Arriving in a very professional promo packaging in my mailbox, this band from San Antonio has managed to draw my attention both visually and musically. Of Infinity's sound can be described as melodic dark metal with female vocals. Their sound on this recording is very professional and it is clear that they have some potential to make it to the higher regions of 'semi-underground' metal. The female vocals are powerful and outstanding, reminding at times of Anneke Van Giersbergen (The Gathering). In this style of music, the rest of the musicians tend to disappear a bit in the background as the vocals are completely dominating. Nevertheless, I hear some effective guitar and keyboard work here and there. Fans of The Gathering, Avrigus and any other female fronted atmospheric metal band, can’t go wrong here.
