Mixing the best parts of Corrupted and Electric Wizard should result in loud, filthy and aggressive doom metal. That is precisely what Frogskin have accomplished. The band name fits perfectly. When listening to the music and closing your eyes, it's almost like you can reach out and feel its slimy hide squirming around. So much in fact, that you'd be reluctant to stick out your tongue... It's not the first time someone has mixed sludge/doom and stoner/doom. But however unholy this combination may sound, it ends up as good music almost every time, especially if the band keeps it slow. This demo is no exception. It's one huge, sloth-paced pool of grooving sewage. It's so loud that the venomous croaks of the vocalist, TT, almost drowns amongst the riffage. However, it's too slow to bang your head properly to unless you are a real doom fan. Even then the sheer heaviness is likely to hurt your neck. However, a real doom fan would already be wearing neck braces and should have no problem with this. The demo contains a fair half hour of this stuff. All of it is of high quality production and it comes with a professionally printed CD and booklet. Definitely recommended for those who think they can handle the music.	I. Devotions Drain II.
