The artwork alone gives you a good idea of what you can find inside. Late 1800's black and white photos of hookers with mistress outfits, spanking and other whorehouse obscenities adorn the cover. Surprisingly every one of them actually seems to be genuine. As a final touch the CD-R is labeled with "Male juice". Well, if this is the soundtrack of this whorehouse, then this would be the ideal sexual playground for Freddy Kruger.
But it's not only the artwork that has a late 1800's/early 1900's style to it. The music itself has a very shrieking sound as if it is an old-fashioned grammophone record. The jazz influence is, although faint, present as well. Including what sounds like a trumpet.
The vocals are especially sick, varying from the most common vomiting and tortured vokills to insane wailing, mumbling and painful screams. The music in itself is mostly some sort of foul funeral doom created out of notes that feel very unpleasant to the human ear, but without using fuzzy guitars. Occasionally there are also pure grind sections with ravaging lunacy. Another unique thing is that, unlike most other bands, Funureal Luxuria sometimes discards all kinds of rhythm to achieve their sound of mental torment.
Sadly the only thing rarer than this compilation are the two demos ('Funureal Luxuria' from 1998 and 'The Second Coming') which Funureal Luxuria made earlier. Fortunately all the tracks on this CD-R are the complete sets of tracks from the two demos. For the sick doomster mind, I am sure that this will in the end become a cult classic.
