'Interference Prone Reflector' is a slightly bouncy song with stoner rock, alternative rock and progressive metal as the main components. It's impressive how rich the music they can achieve with mainly drum, bass and clean vocals is. It is a loud, but not all that heavy track with a mid-paced groove.
'Pioneer' has many quieter sections with a psychadelic undertone, but there are no shortage of louder sections. A very, very spaced track with stoner metal tendencies as well as being a tad doomy. While the progressive and alternative elements have not let go, they are very minor. There are also a few parts which remind me of System of a Down.
'To Kill A Hill And Move A Mountain' continues where 'Pioneer' left off, starting off with a quieter section and a very cosmic ambience. From there the track progresses; stoner, math and progressive rock are mixed with electronic elements, sludgecore, 5ive's Continuum Research Project-like drone, female clean vocals, fewer clean male vocals and for once, real doom metal sections. The track keeps building up intensity before finally fading away.
There will always be artists who refuse to conform. Beehoover is one such case. Oddly, they do so in a way that feels completely natural. Many won't even recognize the experimentality in it before they listen carefully for it. Those who like spaced grooves might have a good source of musical entertainment here.
