Void of Silence : Toward the Dusk

A nightmare; an insane trip through subconscious realms; the little brother of Esoteric; visions of a demented mind; the slow immersion in a psychotic world of suffocating darkness...

Those descriptions could perhaps give an idea about the sound of this band. Void of silence hail from Italy, but show not many resemblances to the crème de la crème of the Italian underground (MonumentuM, Ras Algethi, Canaan...). They rather follow their own self-willed path which leads - like all roads do - to the deep and unavoidable darkness.

Dark keyboards, lingering guitars, vocals which alternate from deep grunts to insane screams and ambient chants, threatening string arrangements: all these ingredients are drowning in a pool of heavily reverbed effects which evoke an atmosphere of insanity and utter desolation. No rays of light of the Italian sun are able to penetrate this unworldy creation. Those Italian masters of negativity make sure that the despair and hopelessness last.

Highly recommended, especially to fans of Esoteric, that unique entity which probably showed those Italians where to find the one-way road to trippy, dark insanity.
