This band mixes Doom and Death-metal with a few Black-metal segments. Very melodic thanks to the nice violin but at the same time still ultra heavy!...

Ramhorn : Crystal Vanity

'Crystal Vanity' is the first demo from my Greek compatriots Ramhorn. The band plays or at least they try to play trad/epic doom. They also use some NWOBHM elements and eastern music forms here and there as well. At this point nothing very impressive but nothing disappointing either, only the bad vocals I’ve heard on countless other greek demos. Around the time the first track is over and the second one begins you suddenly realize that it is very similar to the first. The same goes for the third track and so on, with this pattern continuing until the final note of the album.

I was truly bored with this demo and the few good moments were not enough for me to like their work. I wish them better luck with their next attempt.
