Several weeks/months ago we discussed a nice new band that played cosmic themed drone/funeral doom similar to Arcane Voidsplitter. The album had 3 songs I think and it was some sort of supergroup/collaborative project.

And yes - the latest Qhwertt is really fascinating! The vocals annoy me quite a lot, but I'll have to get over them as the instrumental part is amazing, it even has this weird Twin Peaks feel at times.

No, it's two separate bands now... they used to be one, but the two members had an argument and split up... or kicked each other out of the band... so, now they are carrying on on their own with the band having the same name... clear?

Unfortunately after their debut album "Litourgiya" they splitted into two bands with the same name and still not settled in court who has the rights to the band name... Therefore there is a kind of schizophrenic situation...

A bleak, uncompromising masterpiece. Not your random black doom shit.

Silence In The Snow - Levitation Chamber. Out now on Prophecy Prod. One of the best post-punk releases I have ever heard. Dark and ethereal and so authentic. Kind like a Siouxsie and the Banshees worship band ("Israel"-era) with that authentic old school obscure sound, but I think Silence In The Snow are better, deeper and more interesting.
