In fact, I was trying to remember Cross Vault, and the name didn't come back right to my mind. Instead, I thought of Crypt Sermon, which don't play quite in the same league indeed, but are very good nonetheless.

Re: The General Recommendation Thread
I am trying to find the name of a band that put out an album like 5, 6 years ago which was more or less only made of endless narratives told in a scandinavian language. Ths album appeared like a drastic change of direction is their otherwise "classic" discography- we're talking of a doom band of course. A huge letdown it was... I can't remember who that was.

Thanks in advance.
Thinking of these:
Crypt Sermon Griftegard The Doomsday Cult Gallow God Temple of Pain Oak (from Sweden)
Thank you Griftegard and Gallow God seem to be promising (Crypt Sermon is quite good, too, but vocals a little too true metal for my taste).
You should also check out The Wounded Kings - at least the second and last albums, their absolute best!

Thanks a lot. My list is getting longer and longer . I need a Weekend end without my kids to listen to all that stuff! But step by step...
What do you think about Argus?

Not my fav, but I like this track:
If you're looking for something slow, clean vocals and a heavy-epic sound, let me suggest a few bands: Altar of Oblivion Thunderstorm Procession King Heavy Black Oath
Yes! I like it and even the english vocals are quite ok pronounced for a band from my mother land .

I've noticed there might have been some confusion about Oak. there're two Swedish bands of that name! The one I was recommending has changed its moniker to Aniara, I wasn't aware of that! https://aniaradoom.bandcamp.com/

Yes, but I was able to find the right ones I think.
There was a hard core band fron Jönköping, Sweden and a doom band from Stockholm, Sweden. I piked the second one.

Yes, then you must have checked out the right one. I must also supposed you're already familiar with Reverend Bizarre's long Ep, Harbinger of Metal? It's the most Funeral-sounding trad doom I know of.

Thanks to you guys for helping me find some good new stuff here.
I actually listened to everyone of your proposals. Doing that I found that there is a thin line for me between "epic doom" vocals and "true metal" vocals. I am not so much into the dramatic over pronounced stuff (doesn't matter if high or low). So from that point of view some of the bands couldn't convince me. Also the tuned down fuzzy stuff with low amount of melodies is not really my taste (currently ).
But I am taking the following bands a step further, since they are great!: - Cross Vault - Gallow God - Spiritus Mortis (a link I found on youtube) - Warning (also a link to the stuff you proposed)

Good for you! Warning was indeed the most obvious rec, considering your liking of Pallbearer... Strange nobody cared to mention them.

Noone sees what this band can be?

I don't like them that much, I think it's a bit artificial, too careful and lacking emotion.

Re: The General Recommendation Thread
I really don't remember. I think it was a band much talked about here by doom metal fans. This was an album everybody expected, and then, it happened to be a huge letdown... miles away from what the band was liked for.
