One of my favs of the last year. Oliwia Sobieszek is one of the finest voices in metal.

Nice! It reminds me of Dool with a more nevrotic edge.

well, pretty derivative stuff... can't get excited about it, to be honest... apart from the singer...

 Re: Kroh - "Altars (Re-release)"
She delivers an awful lot like early Siouxsie with hints of Toyah, imo. Definitely that late '70s/early '80s post-punk feel. I guess you could call that derivative in the strictest sense, but - apart from Cold in Berlin - it's not something I can really think of as have being used in Doom before, especially the retro-occult-stoner side of it. Makes it pretty interesting, as far as I'm concerned.

...with a hint of Natasha Khan. I don't mind the songs. What I really don't like about them is the guitar sound.

Their latest album features one track that really brings the band a few steps forwards, more personal-sounding, embracing a much more intense and bleaker feel; check it out: https://kroh.bandcamp.com/track/moriahLet's just hope, this is a foretaste of things to come.
