I listened only to their bandcamp tracks which show potential for sure. Not sure if I'd be thrilled by a whole full length in this direction, but it's worth listening for sure and quite enjoyable. The main appeal for me are the main guitar lines that accompany the tracks - they do convey a nice feeling of loneliness=))

Re: The Hanged Man's Curse - "Demo"
I've listened to the promo as reviewed here; I like the various ranges of the voice. It's catchy and glorious, and with that "western" guitar tone (very Sergioleonesque ), it makes for an original mix (I hear some Leonard Cohen too!).
I'm waiting for a complete first release now, with good production and a full set of songs.

I can't share your enthusiasm for this... ok, it's a demo, but it has 3 songs written by 10 year-olds... one is a disjointed acoustic mess, 2 are practically the same - with a "desert" theme copied from some second-rate western film soundtrack - and of which one has been recorded in a cupboard wearing a plastic bag on the head and a large carrot in the arse...
Yeah, think I will stick with this. I was listening to this 10 years ago, so it proceeds it somewhat.
But early days of course, and there is something there, so maybe when they get it together a bit I will have a go!
(By the way, since I've brought them up, you should really check out Monkey3 if you don't know them. I have loved them for half my life now, and finally got to see them at Hellfest this year, where they were my band of the festival - and I saw some fucking great bands!)

The carrot-in-the arse one, I've skipped this one, but the other two are full of promises, it is really good in all its clumsiness and hesitations; I think it can give birth to some great stuff.

I'll leave the "pleasure" of following them to you...
