Re: What are YOU doing right now?
Good to hear. Makes sense, too: looks like the AKG/Beyerdynamics combined are in the same sort of price range as the HD600s, and if that gives you more versatility, it's a good deal. Having (for various reasons) changed the layout of my study, it would actually be convenient to run wired rather than wireless. So, at some point - when I have the time and energy to go through the whole selection process - I probably will buy a decent wired pair and see how they stack up. I'm not sceptical about wireless, but it's entirely possible that's as much about becoming accustomed to - and developing compensations for - it as it is any guarantee of absolute sound quality!

Re: What are YOU doing right now?
I hated my Sennheiser wireless and I crashed it on the floor; that is how little I got accustomed to it!

Re: What are YOU doing right now?
I sometimes want to do that, especially when it suddenly turns itself off and starts broadcasting massive static after too long without a signal! That's one of the reasons I really hate 'hidden tracks' with a huge gap after the album finishes...

Re: What are YOU doing right now?
I never had a really clean signal with those; I never was able to finetune it properly; maybe it's only me, but one day I couldn't stand it any longer and I punished it, die I said, die you fucking miserable piece of shit, I said.

As an epitaph, that's rather beautiful

Re: What are YOU doing right now?
Wanted to cook myself some pasta after my run - but NO, the whole apartment building is without gas. It turned out there's a gas leak, so until inspection comes and discovers the source of the leak, we won't have any gas. FML So I'm drowning my anger in chocolate. Chocolate is evil.

Also - I burnt my finger while ironing. It burns.

Re: What are YOU doing right now?
My solution to the latter problem is simple - I don't iron! There are plenty of other opportunities for me to get burnt or otherwise hurt myself in the household, though.

Re: What are YOU doing right now?
^^ Somehow that doesn't surprise me, you don't really strike me as a very handy individual. But yeah, unfortunately you have to iron some clothes. Especially shirts. Oh how much I hate ironing shirts! This is why I only have two.

Re: What are YOU doing right now?
Huh? How so? Actually, I made my first attempt at sewing one week ago. But as for ironing, I have to say I never really saw the point. Funnily enough, I do own an ironing board - it was a gift back when I first moved out of my parents' house, and it's been standing around ever since, currently in my bathroom, and still in shrinkwrap. Yes, I rarely wear shirts, too, and partly for the same reason. Another reason is that they're usually not warm enough for me, except during the hottest period of summer.

Wondering about this incredibly fair price for a DVD: http://www.ebay.de/itm/Der-kalte-Himmel ... SS:DE:3160

Re: What are YOU doing right now?
Doesn't it? It's hard to resist. With such a price, what could you possibly do wrong?

Re: What are YOU doing right now?
I just found myself trying to explain to someone that Count Raven is doom metal, not prog metal...

Re: What are YOU doing right now?
if he thought that, he should be comparing them with some other bands that he thought were prog metal too; so, what were his arguments? It's still really surprising as Count Raven is some kind of the epitome of (trad) doom metal.

Re: What are YOU doing right now?
He didn't have much of an argument, just some silly (Oblivious) mocking and then linked me a Thou song to show me what doom metal should sound like... I think he understood after I told him to look it up if he didn't believe me.

Re: What are YOU doing right now?
Looking through old documents on the hunt for quotes I can use for the book I am planning to write, and listening to bapho's Hip-Hop recommendations.

Continuing yesterday's work... Damn, this'll be a pretty long-winded project.
