Hi, I'm Antoine, yeah, my nick is quite original, I suck with usernames...but I kept the same one I use on Metal Archives. You might know me if you go there, I'm a mod on the forum and on the site. I'm a huge fan of doom and pretty much all other styles. My favorite band is Reverend Bizarre. I'm studying history at the university, soon switching to teaching of social sciences. So hey.

Hi, I'm Joe. I used to belong to a now-defunct doom forum some years ago, and recently decided that I should take the plunge again, because finding obscure music ain't easy outside of a community.
Often to be found in my CD player at the moment are the likes of (in no particular order): Sunn 0))) (esp. White 1), Nadja, Anathema, Angels of Light, Akron/Family, Isis etc...
When not listening to the above, I spend my time working on a PhD in Philosophy.

Long time metal head, first time poster.
I've had a few doom, drone, whatever projects that have come and gone
I used to be of a mindset that if it wasn't fast, it was boring
I changed that about 6 years ago and have been dooming ever since
I missed out on a lot considering I got into metal around '94

Hey peeps, vincent over here from Kenya. Totally new to doom, my playlist currently comprises of the more known doom bands, shape of despair, process of guilt, saturnus, evoken, draconian, pantheist etc etc.
Hoping to discover more bands n be part of the community.

A little off topic, btw merchant of doom, i saw a user on metal storm with a similar name and pic i guess, could it be the same guy?

Welcome! And yes, it's me on Metal Storm... where I usually post when they get the doom thing completely wrong! But I must say that they don't pay much attention to it. maybe it's an age thing...

Hello Everyone- My name is John. I used to post on the old forum and visit this site all the time, it was very helpful to me when I was first discovering and learning about doom-metal. I can't seem to remember what my old forum name was though, I think it was just "Phantom". Anyways....I look forward to joining the community.
