If anyone's real interested, Loneravn are Ukrainian (apparently the first Ukrainian Doom label) and very approachable. They don't do a lot of physical releases, but they are quite concentrated on re-publicising some interesting digital-only albums (Satan's Children, Asthme and Eirdh spring to mind, plus they handled the recent ell digital release). Well worth a look on https://loneravnrecords.bandcamp.com/ as well.

I'm still skinny. Unfit beyond belief, as befits a long-standing exercise-avoidance principle, but surprisingly lacking in overweightness nonetheless. I'll take that as a net positive result for someone heading towards their mid-50s at an irresistable rate of knots! Just don't ask me to run to catch a bus or train...

Well, only one band springs to mind: as suggested before, Hyponic is a mandatory listen. Their sound is placed under the aegis of Evoken. They've started to trace a more personal road on their third, very bleak album (not to say that both previous albums were less interesting, on the contrary)

Thanks, but my mobile phone is full of stuff I will listen to intensively on my trip: Old Mother Hell, The Morningside, Elder etc.

Packing my stuff for business travels, got its toll on me.. In the last 5-6 years I travel 2 times a month on average for my work, ....I really got fed up from seeing airports, immigration officers, taxing, taking off, landing, air hostess...crying children on aircrafts, toilet queues

No problem for me. I travel maybe 2-6 times a year. Last year I had three times Mexico in a row and with little time at home. That's when I got fed up... Working through weekends etc..… But this time I will have some room to breathe and will try to see Shanghai next weekend.
