 Re: The Hobbit
I'm not too sure I wanna watch this one yet. Well not until I rediscover the last three or so films in the trilogy and get a full analysis on how Lord of the Rings's Middle Earth works. All in all I love the Lord of the Rings movies, but it's been a while since I seen the last one that came out. So first I must refresh my memory and re-watch them all, heh heh. Oh, and of course the trailer is very convincing

 Re: The Hobbit
I have watched all the video diaries of Peter Jackson on this movie. It's pretty interesting how all that 48 frames per second stuff will work out.

 Re: The Hobbit
This doesn't automatically make Jackson a bad director and Hobbit a bad movie.

 Re: The Hobbit
I've only seen the first movie and it was alright. I don't know if I'll ever see the rest.

 Re: The Hobbit
I finally watched pt.3 on dvd, the first Tolkien by Jackson adaptation I did not bother going to the cinema for... It was far worse than I expected/feared. PJ took a magical children's book and turned it into an abomination. there should be laws against this. I hope he spends his entire fortune to make some crap film next which bombs and sends him to direct animal pron.

He really isn't as good as people make him out to be.

 Re: The Hobbit
He can't, or doesn't want to direct his actors, he's like a little child having fun with his new toys, taking a maniac care of everything that is not human and completely deglecting the emotions and interplays between the various charcaters. That is the main reproach I made to Jackson's films. This and that they definitely look more like commercials rather than like actual films of cinema.
