 TV Series
I started watching two new ones Terra Nova (sci-fi) and American Horror Story (psycho/horror). I started watching the first one because of the hype, nothing too much but I like dinosaurs and reminds me a little of Earth 2 so I'll keep watching it. The second one I discovered by accident but I don't remember watching anything like that in tv, together with the second season of The Walking Dead will keep me through the winter.
Anyone has to suggest more new series (or older) as worthing our time to watch.

 Re: TV Series
It's interesting, in a good way, how American Horror Story changed everything (while retaining some cast) for seasons 1 and 2. Anyone watching the new season? I don't get the channel anymore on my TV service.
I like Castle - seems aimed at an older viewership, but I like Nathan Fillion.

 Re: TV Series
I don't even receive television programmes, so I only watch old shows occasionally, if at all. These past few months I've been digging out "Star Trek: Voyager" on the web (memories of my youth!), I'm almost done with the fourth season now, but the video quality is awful!

 Re: TV Series
I usually only watch one thing at the time - I never watched two series at the same time, I hate being in front of the TV that much. So I'm currently watching The Game of Thrones, aaaand I'm loving it. Wish I could live in that "realm". Another show I really liked was Rome. But only the first season, the second season was a bit too extreme. Apart from these modern series I would really recommend Twin Peaks by David Lynch. The characters, the plot, the actors, the music, everything is so different than in any other TV series. And even after all these years the music theme still immediately takes me back to my childhood.

 Re: TV Series
Yep, "Twin Peaks" is pure brilliance, definitely my favourite show by far. It's such a shame that it was never continued. I don't follow more than one series at a time, either. After finally getting through "Voyager" recently, I'm now trying to get into "The Next Generation", but having a hard time for whatever reason... I'd be more interested in something completely fresh right now, but don't have any ideas, nor the means to get hold of the stuff (unless it's available for stream somewhere). Funny to read about "The Game of Thrones" here; a friend of mine keeps mentioning it, though I still have no idea what it's all about.

 Re: TV Series
GoT is one of the very few series of the last decade I'd consider worth watching. To be fair, that's largely because I was already a fan of the books, and they've done an outstanding job of turning those into good television.
Given how long it's taken Mr G.R.R. Martin to write them thus far, though, I have a terrible feeling we may never actually see the end of the story...

 Re: TV Series
Well, there are some TV series I watched recently and liked, but I'm not sure others can relate to my tastes. Well, anyway, those were "Suits" and "House of Lies". Also an older one with many episodes - "Hustle". Great stuff.
Also I enjoyed "Sherlock", not sure what others think of it though. And good old (and I mean OLD) "Jeeves and Wooster" - my first encounter with Hugh Laurey, <hipster>before he got famous for House MD</hipster> ((-: Speaking of House MD and "genius-smartass" theme, I also quite enjoyed "Lie To Me" actually. I reckon everyone knows about this one though.

 Re: TV Series
Possibly only surpassed by Fawlty Towers, though I don't know how well that really translates out of the English sense of humour...?

 Re: TV Series
If you mean that a language translation should impoverish quite a bit the MP sense of humour, you're absolutely right. If you speak of the spirit of it, be sure it translates very, very well, I simply love the Monty Pythons.

 Re: TV Series
Cool. I had heard Python 'travelled' quite well, was equally curious about whether Fawlty Towers - which is even more directly poking fun at English social 'uptightness' (or, at least, that of the time) - still came across as funny?

 Re: TV Series
The series has been broadcast in Belgium long ago on one "official" French-speaking channel. It was long before the overabundant digital bouquets, so I'm kind of in a blur as to whether FT has or hasn't enjoy a rerun in the recent years... And my recollection of the few episodes I saw back then is vague; I remember it to be less inventive as the MP as a whole, a bit more on the same frantic tone all along also.
