Thanks. :)

It's a church in Greensburg, Pennsylvania - near where I live.
Looks like it's somewhere in Europe!

Yup, kinda. Do you have any idea when was this built? To me it however seems similiar to the 18th and 19th century architecture which drew heavily on the classic styles in order to rehistoricize the colonial national identities. I may be wrong though.

That doesn't look "european" at all to me. It looks masonic. Maybe it was build by the Masonic order. Wonderful architecture anyway.

It looks 'European' to me because we don't have many buildings such as that unless they are a tourist attraction. I saw buildings like that everywhere in Europe and they were ancient. Pittsburgh itself is celebrating its 250th birthday this year, so it's kind of 'young'.
If it's "old", I'd say 19th century being that it's somewhat near where the country started.

I've always wanted to get into photography. I have the eye for it, but little to nothing about cameras and all that. Can anyone suggest a decent camera I can get that will take photos with the quality of some of the pictures on this posting, and an estimated price?

Also, do you guys develop your photos or are they digital? Thanks.

I'd go with a Nikon, Sigma or Canon. I've used Sony for a bit and the batteries on a Sony usually are weak and die within a couple hours. Also, the picture quality isn't too good on Sonys. I can't tell ya a price, as I too need a camera (currently out of work) and haven't seen a new DSLR price or even looked for camera's in about 3 years.

Go look online, Benny. Amazon or eBay or something. Or a site that specializes in photography.

The shot I posted just before you, is shot on a Canon EOS 450D, with a Sigma 18-200mm zoomlens and a flashlight. Shot in RAW-format offcourse. Processing is all digital. (Btw, I also measure the light before I shoot)
Until last summer I shot on film, scanned the negatives and then processed it (retouching, local colorcorrections), but I must say that takes a lot more time than working with a digital camera.

You say you know nothing about cameras; go to a local store and ask...
And go digital (make sure you can shoot RAW); that way you will learn to understand your camera quicker than when using film.

PS.
Anyone like my new shot a few posts back??? ;-)
