Some examples of my occasional nature photography. Maybe some more later. Click to enlarge.

Here's one of my favourite motives. Please excuse that I post the artwork I've made out of it instead of the original photograph; I'm not at home atm and I don't have the original picture online...

Any comments/ advice on how to improve my techniques will be greatly appreciated- i've only had a digital camera for just over a week, and haven't had much photographic experience prior. The camera is a Pentax T30, so it's no digital SLR, but it's pretty good :)

Oli: The quality of those close-ups is amazing, far above my digital camera. The last motive is interesting in a way, it caught my attention more than the others; one reason might be that I can't really identify those valves, but somehow I really like the picture... :)

i've only seen norway from a plane, but leaving from copenhagen, and flying over the fjords was breathtaking.

Nice pictures, Jelle. Especially the second one is wonderful! And surprisingly, there are indeed some beautiful forests to be found in Germany if you look closely enough. I love walking in between the trees with some close-to-nature music and enjoying the absence of annoying human beings. :;):

Emanuel, that house is awesome - and you captured it perfectly! It's really sad that magnificent old buildings like this are often empty and closed, left for dilapidation. :/

True, I really like the oak, beech and hornbeam forests over there.
The forest area may be smaller, but the trees are much bigger on an average! :)

Superb photos, Déjà loin! The one in your second post doesn't show, though.

Now some impressions from a recent walk through a nearby heathland (yes, the same heathland as in the "pictures"-thread). The first three pictures can be enlarged.
