Post The Karl Marx appreciation thread.

The greatest mind since Aristotle... only to be followed by Nietzsche, Heidegger, Benjamin, Foucault or Deleuze.

The eighteenth brumaire, Capital, Manifesto and Grundrisse are essential readings in philosophy, political theory and sociology.

Anyone else? Discuss.

Don't care much for the centralized bank portion of his philosophy, too much power in too few hands. Though honestly I have read very little of his writings. :)

No offense, but for the most part, none of these men did anything but write down their ideas. I admire men who have changed the world with action. Although I have no major beefs with the above men besides Marx, they're all influential thinkers for their time-period, and will not be influential in hundreds of years.
