H.G. Wells - The Dream
What if this guy still lived and wrote this book from the perspective of today? It's just fantastic how he exposes the senselessness of any and all standards of his time. An uncompromising and well-founded judgement of society and the defunct ideals it imposes upon people.
Sad that I don't have that much time for reading at the moment, and if I have, I can't concentrate well. :/

Not much a reader, but since i go to work by train each day i picked up reading again.

At the moment i'm busy with De Demon (The Demon) from Hubert Selby Jr and it's really good.

Quote:
Harry White is a man haunted by a satyr's lust and an obsessive need for sin and retribution. The more Harry succeeds - a good marriage, a good corporate job - the more desperate he becomes, as a life of petty crime leads to fraud and murder and, eventually, to apocalyptic violence.

I'm near the end.....50 pages or so to go! :;):

Hehe, nice... I'm perhaps a bigger fan of Gellner's or Brubaker's works, but Anderson is a must if somebody ever works with the topic. :;):

George Orwell - 1984. I read today lots of short stories by a Peruvian author; he's great, and it's a pity that almost noone here knows him.
