Post Re: Anatomia - "Decaying in Obscurity"

I have to say that I fully agree with this review. Musically, this is a crushing and dark monster of an album, full of twisted riffs and atmospheres, but the lyrics and imagery prevent it from really touching me, nor can I take it seriously this way. Still, I don't regret buying it: there's enough musical merit to be found on this release, and once you've come to ignore the lyrics, it's great background noise during breakfast having woken up to another grey and meaningless morning. :;): I'd have to add, though, that some of the less doomy, more mid-tempo riffs really fall short, most notably on "Sinking into the Unknown" and "Garbage" - these tracks will surely be skipped from now on. My favourite tracks, on the other hand, are "Imminent Death", "The Unseen" and "Consumed in Darkness" (probably also the doomiest moments of the album).
