It was in the last Solitude promo pack, and I gave it just enough of a listen to figure it was one of those albums building on a core of 'Brave Murder Day' influences. Which it does have, in places.
Having listened to it a lot more thoroughly before posting the review, I do actually rather like it - as one of those obscure, enthusiastic and madly eclectic "very Italian" Italian releases - but that's based on my long-standing fondness for madly eclectic Italian bands rather than for any Doom qualities it purportedly possesses. In that, I do agree with Ian: it isn't at all Doom to me, and even for a BMM (rather than Solitude) release, it seems unusually far removed from their usual fare. So I guess the point is that it's a real 'caveat emptor': people may enjoy it, but it's unlikely to be because they're into Doom of any flavour...
