Vocally, it's like a more wordy (and more monotonous) Sol, the range is quite similar. True is too long and too wordy, but there's a nice personal touch.

I enjoyed it quite a lot, despite the shortcomings (at times severe) it has. And I was pleasantly surprised since I expected something really amateurish.

The song "Crossing the Frozen Wasteland" is the only one that I really dislike. The rest is quite good, the underlying instruments are lovely and the vocals usually fit (I agree that they remind of Sol and that they are excessively used=)

On the rare occasions when he drops his 'Sol' kind of vocals, like on The Whirlpool of Ignorance , it really takes off, the whirling guitar is also a very good addition on this number. It's the kind of album that I feel has a strong repeat value.
