Weird that this one gets less than the Funeral Tears one... it's so much musically superior... and the production is much better too...

I agree, there's more inventivity in this, Funeral Tears is following a much more conventional path.

Still... not he most gripping stuff ever. In my opinion, they should reconsider their overbearing keyboard sections which are far too repetitive and bland-sounding, almost ridicule with this mechanical lamenting female voice. The rest is fine, though. In retrospect, I'd give the same rating to be honest.

I also find the keyboards annoying and amateurish at times, and unlike the reviewer their SNES nostalgia does not redeem them=)

And yes, this album is more challenging than the Funeral Tears's one, but I still enjoy the latter more, despite its simplicity and awful cover art (a trait this one shares also=). Still FT's one is certainly overrated=) I'd give this one a 6 and for Funeral Tears a 6.5=)

Actually, it's funny how the reviewer expands on the fake drumming when it's the keyboards that really piss me off! :P

I quite like the keyboards... it's what it sets it apart from the countless clones, like Funeral Tears... :)
