They seem to be very filled with a primitive dualist conception of the world where good and evil would inluence every human action... It doesn't look like folklore either. Weird.

To be fair, Manichaeism - which I'd guess has to be the most enduring of those dualist absolute religions - successfully embodied that idea over a surprisingly wide area and a surprisingly long period. I don't know that I'd call it primitive; it's actually quite a sophist argument at heart, albeit one that seems a little lacking in acceptance of personal responsibility.
Last seriously heard of around 14th century China, I believe, though there does appear to be at least a small outpost remaining in 21st century Finland...
Oh, and of course 20th century Ireland...
