I like those low guitars. Oh yes, this is pretty good. I like how dirty and raw it is but done aesthetically rather than just being bad. Kinda like Ufomammut in that regard.

Nice sound indeed, there's a sick groove in there too! The mention of Killing Joke reminds me I really should visit the whole of their discography, I only know their latest albums...

Bought the 'digital discography'. The two earlier albums are more of the same, but they are all quite short, so combined the three of them make a nice 77 min CD for thee car.

After listening to all three, 'more of the same' is a little unfair. Although it's all very similar stylistically, the newest one has the added lead guitar from a guest performer, which elevates it a little. All sounded br00tal in the car this morning though. I approve.

Have to say, when I was adding the band and posting the review I felt compelled to pick up their discography as well. It wasn't like they were overcharging for it, or anything!

I'm afraid I don't buy Download only. Has to be a physical release of some kind. However I did feel they warranted some exposure and am glad they meet with a certain amount of approval. If anyone knows a label that might fancy doing a small run...

...and yes that lead guitar certainly elevates it all somewhat. That's what I like about Ketch, much maligned though they are here! A slugde/post band with decent leads is a rare beast indeed, but something I like nonetheless. :)

That must cost you a fair bit in postage to down-under.
I think I like Ketch... I don't remember if it was them - Stu from Aesthetic Death gave me it - does that make sense? Whatever it was, this band reminds me a bit of them too.

Edit: I made the arduous trip to my CD shelf and discovered that it is Ketch I liked. I might send Crust to Stu actually, maybe he'd pick it up.

Probably, Stu did a re-release of Ketch's debut full-length with the first EP included as a bonus.

It probably was Stu. He popped one in an order for me some time ago. Somehow, including a t-shirt order from the band, I've ended up with two of everything they've released and not paid for any of it, except the t-shirt... :D

Yeah, postage is a bitch. Mainly bad from the UK and some other European countries. US not so bad, depends on the seller and Asia is fine. Funny thing is, stuff from Australia can take forever to arrive. UK CD's are now mainly sourced through my own private Distro...

OK, so Crust finally got back to me. There will be a CD released in February of Slum Stories and True Shades... From what I gather the two albums will be on a single CD.

Also, in November or December they have a new album out called "Animals of the Concrete Jungle" and there's a dropbox audio preview which I'm having trouble with but I'll put it up if I can sort it...I hate Dropbox, not terribly compatible with ipads. :veryangry:
