One of the best albums I've heard lately, it deserves the high rating it received=)

Excellent album indeed, though personally, I would have given it 8 or 8.5 - it's not flawless. Still, releases of such high calibre are extremely rare in this particular branch of Doom, and naturally, the story behind it gives it additional weight.

I was sad to miss Swallow the Sun on their recent tour, but at the same time relieved as this shit hit bit too close to home. It truly is a solid release as well, but its hard to "unhear" the story behind it.
