I remember this band has produced one fine debut album, it seems like aeons ago. Then they hit a wrong road and lost much in quality.
I've stumbled a few times across this album during my YT peregrinations, and it never maintained my interest more than 4 minutes in a row. So I agree with the reviewer here: I'm still waiting for the draft to take shape, and it takes a damn long time!

awful... the clean vocals are torture... not sure what happened there. I quite like the debut...

For me this album is pretty similar to their previous one - pleasant, but dull. I cannot point any specific place where the music is actually offending and unpleasant, so as background music it works quite well, it's just that it's not engaging at all=)

I disagree a bit... the quality of the compositions on this album is terrible and so the vocals... the debut album has its weaknesses but it was a fair attempt...

In fact, it's their demo I remembered; I wrote the review of it... :p It was full of promises. They had "a talent for the gothic and the weird", as I said back then...

Yeah, I really don't get that. They sorta went from having some kind of promise to just flatlining on mediority, and have stayed pretty much solidly there ever since. To borrow a Hawkwind quote: "We took the wrong step years ago?".
