Post Do you need album artwork / T-shirt designs for your band?

Hi All,

I'm a UK based illustrator looking to get into Album Artwork and t-designs for metal bands, I've done a few mock ups if any one would be interested in seeing my work please use this url > http://dropr.com/edward_dillon

If anyone knows any tips or hints about how to get work in this industry or knows anyone that would like some work done please get in touch > edward.dillon.illustration@gmail.com

Thank you

Ed

I really like your artwork... as for getting work in the music industry, try contacting the labels, along the lines of "I am a graphic artist, available for commissions, etc." if you don't mind doing some pro bono promotional work, you can contact artists you like that have poor covers (not by choice), and offer/license them a couple of your pieces for free. actually putting your artwork on music releases is the best promotion / first step into the industry.

good luck, looking forward to wearing a tshirt with one of your designs soon :)

Yes, this is creative.

To find you a place in the business goes through contacting everybody and selling you for a reasonable price (less that you'd want yourself!)- your ratings will rise along with your popularity... Don't forget you're many out there trying to make a living with your art.
You seem to be quite versatile and it's a good thing: you'll be able to work for several "niche-markets", Metal or else.
