Post Re: Pictures

It's a guy who made a film, The Room, a couple of years ago that has been presented as one of the most pathetic attempts at art film. He took care of pretty much everything, from the production to the editing over story and acting and the result is definitely hopeless, what made him a star, in the USA, at any rate.
I tried to watch some parts of it, it's just really very, very bad, but at the same time it seems honest. Problem is the guy has zero talent and nothing to say.

But if you feel like some really weird experience, I'd rather trust Neil Breen. He made 3 movies, and each one is a devastating crime against human mind.

Thanks for the info. Just skimmed through the Wiki article; seems to be quite a unique piece of art indeed. :;):

With good reason, I fear. I can think of few other cinematic works so devoid of any charisma whatsoever - he must have worked quite hard to get together an entire cast of such woefully appalling actors that none of them even look convincing in comparison to each other...

Well, need more proof that the bulk of people tends to be absurdly stupid? Most people listen to crappy music, too. :;):

Post Re: Pictures

'So bad it's good' isn't that uncommon a belief, especially with cult offerings, or as the basis for every B-movie ever made and, of course, to explain "why David Hasselhoff?".

It's just that the 30 minutes or so of 'The Room' that I could endure before my post-modern-irony-meter suffered irretrievable thermonuclear meltdown was simply 'So bad it's just fucking terrible'. :p

Note that he has a strong contender in the person of Neil Breen whose ego could fill up a football stadium too.

He personally claims that he is from louisiana via france, but all (anonymous) testimony from close kin checks out that he's actually Polish.

Most of his money came from distributing crappy clothing through a failed design firm in san francisco, but most of the room's funding was allegedly borrowed from his ESL (english as a second language) coach, who is a very unassuming elderly lady.

I don't know what it is about that movie. I'm not a "bad-for-the-sake-of-bad" kind of person, but for some reason I saw it and I couldn't get enough. It's a project that should never have been started, and is quite surprising that it ever was finished. The whole thing is needlessly intended - the rest of it is completely contrived - a good portion of it is just evidence of a group of people waiting for a paycheck and trying to coax his vision along just to put food on their tables i suppose.

Greg Sestero's book, The Escape Artist, is an interesting read and provides a lot of interesting insight towards the making of the film.

I'd never heard of Neil Breen until you'd mentioned him in your reply - I watched a few of his trailers and he is for sure next on my list :p

My girlfriend and I went on some bike trails earlier this afternoon -
we stopped at a farm along the way and I made a new goat friend :;):

It loved having its neck scratched - it probably could sense the black metal in me :p

Me (on the right) jamming out with my new band the other day. Writing some dark, melodic doomy stuff. I think we have something great in the works here. :D

Hahaha that's our lead guitarist. He's so metal, he can play guitar with the bones of his hand.

Recording for my band's debut:

Live on stage at a small Folk open stage event with a reduced line-up on Monday (it's only me in the picture since I wouldn't want to post a picture of my band mate without his permission):

And finally, playing a small piano/vocal solo set later that night:

Edit: Hmmm. Why isn't this working? Beats me. I'll try again tomorrow. Or maybe someone else has an idea what may be wrong. Perhaps Mediafire just isn't compatible with embedded links, though I have no idea why it wouldn't be...

Fixed for you... I browsed to the pics on mediafire, right clicked and selected 'Copy Image Url', and used that instead.

Thanks! I tried that, but for some reason, this Mediafire feature hasn't worked on my machine for quite some time now. Strange...
