That's just like... your opinion, man! :p I talked to a colleague today about this album. The fact that we talked about it was pure happenstance. Not only did he say that he liked it, but also in an unironic way. Can you believe it?!

I guess there is little point in trying to convince you of the finer points of: Vincenzo Salvia - The Volkswagen of Death

Hallowed Butchery - Deathsongs From The Hymnal Of The Church Of The Final Pilgrimage
MUCH better than the previous one!

Quarantine - s/t (noisy doom)
Cadaveribus - Open the Gate (fun OSDM from Japan)
Power Glove - Throwback (catchy synthwave)
Molested Divinity - Unearthing the Void (absolutely relentless technical death metal)
FLUIDS - Ignorance Exalted (really heavy, not too grindy death metal - the last song is death/doom)

It's out? Great! I'll blindly purchase it asap!

edit: done and done well. Couldn't wait! :D
Massive album, twisted work of art; such a rare band, in both senses; I wasn't dreaming of a new album. And it's a feat of crooked extreme Death Doom, extravagant crossover between doom, folk, indus, between elegiac respites and wells of horrific darkness. And when it dooms, it dooms hard! :thumbs-up:

Déhà - Your Existence is an anomaly which clings on hope and destruction
It's good, heavy, droney and very reasonably slow doom but the two fast parts are not necessary. Dena just can't help himself... he has to go fast (like Sonic).

Oh my, here's the deformed bastard little brother who lives under the stairs of Hallowed Butchery's house of horror; check out his pathetic lamentations:

This is nice and heavy. There is another version with different artwork (?) here:

yes, I see the difference might be that the edition by Cursed Monk is a digi and that it boasts two bonus tracks, instead of just one on the DIY edition... I might buy one of those...!

I like Cursed Monk's editorial policy: "The darker, weirder, and heavier the better" - so right! :yes-freak:

Scarve "The Undercurrent"

13 years since this was released. Guess I'm not getting a followup, esp. since Dirk is in Megadeth now.

Signora Ward Records - Quarantine Doom jazz vol. 2

Check out the third track. I know some of these bands. Has to be one of the best compilations so far. Very cool introduction to dark jazz.

EDIT:

Vol.1 is even better:
https://signorawardrecords.bandcamp.com ... -doom-jazz

This track in particular:
Macelleria Mobile di Mezzanotte - Heavy Clouds Like The Skyline Of Your Heart

Unfurl - Deathbed (remastered)
https://vnfvrl.bandcamp.com/album/deathbed-remastered

They call themselfes "post-hardcore" but it's definitely sludgy. Groovy. The album sounds like a good live recording. Kind of flat and headache-inducing but good!

Before that:

GNAW THEIR TONGUES - CHAMBERS OF TUAM
Bolt Gun - Begotten

Exitium Sui - Nuclear Sundown (Black/Doom, not very heavy but nice)
https://apileofgraves.bandcamp.com/albu ... ar-sundown

The Midnight Ensemble - Years of Regret (dark jazz)
