Re: To what listenest thou?
A technical instrumental death metal / grind (?) band: Pound
A short release and it doesn't really matter which song you listen to, but I liked: The 5th (slow) song and the last bit of the 6th one.
It's just drums and a 9-string guitar. They do slow down and it can get extremely heavy. Actually reminded me of the poserific djent battle of '19
Earlier I had a listen to:
Obed Marsh - Innsmouth (Australian fish people doom) Primitive Man - Futility+Untitled (sludge) Noose Rot - The Creeping Unknown (OSDM) Vainoras and the altar of the drill - Live,Love,Doomjazz (bohren-like dark jazz)

Massive and epic Funeral Doom: Convocation's second release is soon out and so far, it sounds tremendous. The break at 8' is beautiful. Really looking forward to it!

The 20 minute preview track from a Romanian funeral doom band. So far, very melodic and listenable. Lots of synths and good grunts.

Massive progress compared to the previous one. This band has started with a very interesting demo, but eventually produced very mediocre music. This new album sounds like a rebirth, it's quite terrific. Looking forward to the rest of it.

I keep listening to this epic 22' track by Descent into Despair. A wonderful journey, I hardly hear the same band.
Now I'll carefully listen to their previous one, Synaptic veil; I'm started to think I missed soemthing...
If you take away the awful clean vocals by Kostas on the first track, Synaptic Veil is quite good and I also liked the debut...

It's rather true; the last two tracks especially are good. It's a band that's worth more than I thought; just that their progressive songwriting sits on the fence between clumsiness and just above good: it still never touches the brilliance of their new track.
