Thanks! The clean voice sounds a bit too much in the background on the last track, but I'm listenting to this on a laptop and the speakers don't do the production justice. Still, fine songs they are!

They sound pretty fine on my headphones. Otherwise I agree, quite nice tracks. Not much change, but I'm really expecting it from them for this kind of generic, pleasant to the ears doom=)

I've been listening to Clouds' new album these days. They warned it would be even mellower, but I hoped it would have more melodies in return, but alas, this does not seem to be the case. It's their first album that I don't immediately like...

HellLight: don't particularly like the clean vocals... but musically I dig them...

Dor: well, it is a bit of the same, but mellower... I don't dislike it. It's good background soft doom for when I'm working (i.e. always... :-) )

Beneath Oblivion/ the wayward and the lost - good album although a bit shallow.
Forest Stream/ the crown of winter - this band is a hidden gem, many here know this.

Masterly crafted epic Doom!
https://thrym.bandcamp.com/

edit: that Rivers of Nihil song is super tasty, too bad it doesn't reflect at all the rest of the album which is basically loud postcore, what I hate... :O

there are another couple of good songs... :) it's supposed to be technical death metal.... :( but seriously.... at least there some saxophone in it and they are very good musicians. The production kills it a bit.

Not too familiar with this style, Is Mithras Thechnical DM? I'd have said yes, but this has nothing to do with the brilliance and otherwordly atmosphere Mithras conveys.

In fact, in retrospect, the funny outfits and poses they have on this video let think that this isn't really the style they're after, more of a tongue-in-cheek affair... But it's the best song off their otherwise unspectacular album.

they are supposed to be technical death metal because that's what they play in the previous 2 albums... I do agree that the new one is rather patchy... but at least it's a bit more different... and I don't know Mithras!
