Thought industry - Songs for Insects

I just barely read about these guys. Tech thrash and it's pretty good.

Sweet dark female late-night music... :D Bohren And The Club of Gore fans should enjoy this.

Funny, but I never had no attachement or any pronounced sympathy for Belgian acts. I know the French are very much supportive of their local bands, but I really don't care where they're from. Can't think of me being proud of anyone as a matter of fact, except of me, some rare times; I am not connected to anyone or anything enough. :)

New song by In the Woods... they should have never returned under the same name. Totally average band now=(

Powerful instrumental post-doom. It's free:

I'm listening to this again, and I found some parts are similar to what Orthodox sounded like in their first couple of albums. It's really good!

Indeed. Same story happened to Green Carnation. Two good, emotive albums, then the pit of harmless vapid music.

From roughly the same scene and the same period, I feel only Manes have succeeded in maintaining a high level throughout.

...And Oceans - The dynamic gallery of thought (A classic. But I think I prefer the sophomore album).
Seraphim - The equal spirit (cool unknown symphonic power metal. Too happy and mellow for me, but not bad).
Nightbringer - Rex ex ordine throni (split. the Temple of Not tracks are not interesting. I hate boring ambient drone). I just LOVE this band and everything it releases!

Green carnation had only ONE good album.
Manes have completely gone an extreme metamorphosis starting with Vilosophe so it's like talking bout a different band altogether, so not such a fair comparison. From their pretty unique black metal years all the way to disco-electronica with some balls...

In the Woods have already gone through a massive change on Omnio, so I'm not sure what is the basis of the comparison. I much preferred them in their black metal years of Heart of the Ages and Return to the Isle of Men...

I count the first two. The sophomore being one notch above the debut because of the complex and yet well-balanced songwriting. In terms of atmosphere, hooks and overall ideas, I think they're both on the same level.
