The new Chelsea Wolfe - fantastic, totally exceeded my expectations!

The new Kauan - as usual beautifully crafted but lacks intensity. Seems they tried to get back to the Aava tuulen maa sound, but it's neither as beautiful as that album, nor as intense as the latest ones.

Yes, but precisely, it is all the more striking, if not even the best track. (I think 'Static Hum' stands out, but there're many very good parts)

I like it. Sounds like Natasha Khan with Manson's band backing her up. Excellent indeed.

I'm honestly surprised by how dull and bland the new Kauan is. Anybody heard it, am I missing something?

I'm enjoying this... Russian funeral/death/doom, without the trumpets...

Just discovered Khemmis - Hunted.

What a band, what a sound!

Oh man, that album is so good...

Anyhow, here are some of mine, as it's been awhile...

Funeral Moth - Transience
CoC - Deliverance
CoC - Blind
Truckfighters - Gravity X
Negative Reaction (all their full-lengths)
Grief (all their full-lengths)

I gave it a listen yesterday, while reading. Well, it didn't disturb me at all, my attention was never caught and the whole flew by rather quicky, leaving no trace behind. So, yes, it's very unsubstantial. :(

Good stuff indeed. I found more interest in this than in Mesmur, although I couldn't tell why, honestly!

I quite liked it... in a sort of background music for working kind of way...

Not as good as their best imo, Snailking and Idolum. Now listening to Hecate, and I find it better as well.
The flow on 8 seems rather monotonous overall, it's also more "grating" soundwise... Will have to give it a second shot.

It's probably not my favorite of theirs but I still like it. They always produce the goods imo. :D

Quoting from the bandcamp page... "Spin called it "multidimensional Tears for Fears." - I couldn't agree more... :p

er...I don't know what to think of that! It's more jazzy trip hop than anything. Who remembers Tears for Fear anyway??
