The whole discography is pretty exceptional.

I can't stop listening to this. The cd is stuck in my player and I'mot willing to change it. A masterpiece of ritual drone doom. The sole effort of this project it seems:

New Krief de soli:

some inventive rythms along those songs.

FUNERIS 2020 release.

pretty much every album by this band is some very academic, by-the-book melodic FD, but so well done it could serve as an examplary introduction to the genre.

Problem is that it never offers anything outside this very conventional frame.

I was checking my latest posts and read this one with surprise as I love the latest album by Funeris. But the guy managed to put out TWO albums this year! The one of February is the one I was talking about here. The one released in December is much stronger. Take note. :)

Nah, Check out the second song in this album. It's undeniably above average.

Now; good atmo post metal:
https://thesludgelord.bandcamp.com/albu ... een-worlds

you now have a "doom post-metal" tag on bandcamp; worth investigating I suppose?

The Morpholith album is very very good and weird at times, these Icelanders sure know how to make unorthodox music=)

I find it really ggod, it's less funerary, but it has more dynamics, interesting ones.

The first track off the up-coming Ruins of Beverast album. I like the obvious doom bend the band has taken a couple of albums ago.

I'm not disavowing my top, but had I discovered this sublime sludge doom album earlier, it is clear that it would be in the first places:

The new Pain of Savation is high in lots of best of lists.. It's good indeed. Happy to rediscover this band with such an exciting album!

Did you know this band, Atramentus?

I see we posted an interview of them. It's some perfectly fine magestic FD, with occasional death-ish vibes, very much like Indesinence and the likes.

In fact me neither. I think the first couple of songs are entertainting, then it becomes quite shallow and the electro effects are used with no real relevance.

Don't get me wrong, it's not bad, but maybe I was expecting even more progression after their previous album, but then that one was half written with Ragnar Zolberg...

you know, him... :D
