Damn I fell asleep just hearing it mentioned

what, what... sorry, fell asleep too! ... anything after A Natural Disaster is just a waste of space... toothless fluffy rock...

I think Distant Satellites is the only worthy post-A Natural Disaster album by them. It's not all good of course, but especially the first part is really enjoyable, whatever the genre=)

Is Worship even active anymore? Has anyone of you dealt with this shop? http://www.endzeitelegies.com/catalog/

Well, Worship's history turned into a shameful tragedy with their last announced record around 3 years ago - it had a release date and a lot of people (including me) pre-ordered it. Then suddenly something happened with Daniel, the release was moved back several times, he resurfaced every three months to announce that he is getting on track and is ready to finish the album but nothing happened. He refused to refund people, so a lot of them ended ripped off. For the last year even the incoherent announcements and promises stopped and there is not info available at all.

Ah ok. Thanks for the info! I saw that solitude has some worship CDs in their catalog. But it seemed weird to order them from somewhere else instead of that shop. It's just going to get lost.

I sent an inquiry to endzeit three months ago and have not gotten a reply out of them.

Sorry that you were ripped off.

I too was one of those people. I did get my money back however. All but .37 or so. I remember reading his posts about his depression and how it was hindering his musical endeavors only to see pics of him happy, jet setting to various video game expos around the world. I guess he works in the video game industry. I don't think he will put out the follow up to Terranean Wake and even if he did too much time has passed and way too many people have been ripped off to care. The name of Worship is forever ruined due to his actions. I still love the albums he put out but I won't be supporting anything he does in the future.

Post Re: To what listenest thou?

Well, I am much more sorry for not hearing the album than for the loss of the money. I did not even asked them back admittedly, as I am still hoping that the album will see the light of day, Worship are one of my top favourite bands.

Weird thing is that two years ago, well into all these events they attended Roadburn festival, that’s the last real activity of theirs.

But I agree that the worst thing of all is that he damaged the legacy of this band.

I like the first album but haven't heard the second. I'll need to check it out.

Today's list:
Mistress of the Dead - Sepulchral Grief
Mistress of the Dead - Beneath Funeral Flowers
My Dying Bride - The Dreadful Hours
Ankhagram - Neverending Sorrow

Rituals - s/t

Sludgy post metal with bellowing vocals that are aggressive but sometimes hint at vulnerability, too. It's not particularily doomy but heartfelt nonetheless. Some quieter clean parts but I never felt bored. Check out the last song first. The melody is a bit of an earworm. This one of those albums that feel like 15 minutes.

About SVC: I had a listen to Wijlen Wij - s/t and I was positively surprised how experimental it was. I've never given FOTGWO much of a chance. I'll have to remedy this soon.

If you haven't already, do check The Nulll Collective too - also an experimental project including SVC with a very nice full length=)

edit: and of course The Sad Sun - the best collaboration he's been involved in, imo. Only two songs ever released but for me this is some of the best doom material ever=)

Frailty/ Melpomene.

really good. What happened to this pormising band?

edit: this one track is the most recent one: https://frailtymetal.bandcamp.com/track/the-cold-beyond

they turned back to doom after a disappoining venture into death-ish territories, which is a good sign for the future album.

Forsaken/ Pentateuch.
I hadn't given it a listen since March 2018. Damn! I couldn't get past the awful production this time! I don't know what I liked in it. Every bit of talent is sabotaged by this headache-inducing sound, properly maddening!

The Evil/ Evil

Excellent somber trad doom.
