it's very southern rock, bluesy. Not an ounce of doom to be found here indeed.
Midday Veil is a band in this style, as is Black Mountain, both more psyche and relax though (more to my taste). Maybe you'll find some interest in them:

Didn't much care for the electronic sounds of Midday Veil. Black Mountain is cool though, the female vocalist sounds a lot like Chelsea Wolfe.

I found this band on Metal-Archives, also listed as Doom Metal, but it is totally not. Rather, it's some very calm sounding Psychedelic Rock with melodic clean male vocals and some very nice violin lines. They're a Croatian band, and you can hear a little bit of an ethnic flair in some of the violins and guitar melodies. It makes me think a bit of Om's calmer material.

HECATE (Black metal/ France)
I'm not a big black metal fan, but yesterday night the band HECATE played in my area.
They practice a quite fast, rather melodic black metal, in a style quite close to Dissection, the first Sacramentum, or the first Immortal albums... It's quite well done, quite "abstract".
Worth the hear for fans of the style.
