Re: For Funerals To Come (Free Doom Metal Compilations)
I'll definitely start adding that information into the track tags for you.

Excellent! An idea for a future project: Weird, untypical, maybe amusing tracks by Doom bands, collected under the title "For Fun-Heralds to Cum". Spontaneous suggestions would be "Heart.ov.the.goat" by Zaraza and "Serious Personality Disturbance and Deep Anxiety" by Unholy.

Re: For Funerals To Come (Free Doom Metal Compilations)
This will put both the FFTC & WYWS sets at 12 full compilations a piece. I'm going to take a break after these, focus on doing a bunch more research so that I can make even stronger sets down the road and give some unsigned groups a chance to finish up new material for inclusion. Hope everyone's liking these and, as well, due to a request these two will be the first to have data on what album the track is from in the mp3 tags. Enjoy! 01. Asunder - Twilight Amaranthine 02. Hour Of 13 - Hex Of Harm 03. Amber Tears - Za Kraj Nebes 04. The Funeral Orchestra - Apocalyptic Trance Ritual 05. Imindain - Black Water 06. Candlemass - Witches 07. Grave Flowers - Sleep Demons Sleep 08. Wormphlegm - Return Of The Ice Age And The Tortyrant 01. The Morningside - The Trees 02. Batillus - Deadweight 03. Pantheist - Oblivion 04. Wijlen Wij - Falling Stars 05. Uncertainty Principle - Stationary State 06. Consummatum Est - Vertebra 07. Dark Obscenity - Medieval Inquisition 08. I Drowned In A Stream Of Mourn - Strangling The Truth*Note: If the images don't work, click the link below.Compilation access @ http://detoxcompilationcentral.blogspot.com/Artwork courtesy of Felipe Weyer.

Re: For Funerals To Come (Free Doom Metal Compilations)
I drowned in a stream of mourn... yeah, not a bad project that one, quite weirdo. I remember the discussion about the band on this site back then; it was said that the members were teenage brothers.

Re: For Funerals To Come (Free Doom Metal Compilations)
You can definitely hear that at least the vocalist is young when you listen closely because you can hear the heavily effected/pitchshifted vocals, but the original vocal tone is still present just slightly and it sounds like a very youthful attempt at a growl.

Re: For Funerals To Come (Free Doom Metal Compilations)
Hi there Detox
I'm a new member to this board and kinda new to Doom. Been a metal fan for going on 30 years and always liked the Doom but just recently it's become an obsession.
Havn't the time at the moment to download any of your comilations but have been cutting and pasting your inclusions into youtube and have been hearing some great music. Can't wait to grab em when I have some some time off work.
To cut a long story short thank you very much for your effort.

Re: For Funerals To Come (Free Doom Metal Compilations)
You're very welcome.
On a side note, i'm incredibly happy to see that Volumes 1-8 have all exceeded the 30 download mark (With Volume 1 passing 40 downloads) and the more recent ones doing some nice damage as well. I'm working on checking out a lot of unsigned and 1-person projects to add in for future releases, so if you have anything worthwhile or know of a good group to add in who hasn't already been given a spot, let me know. Thanks!

Thanks a bunch, i'm only familiar with Fading Sun. And for the sake of trying to keep up, I made a Facebook page. Worship it!

Re: For Funerals To Come (Free Doom Metal Compilations)
This is a nice initiative! Can't believe I didn't check this out before! Anyway, I'm going to start going through those compilations (15 hours of musick to go through... ) and check out the stuff I don't know. There's quite some, even though my collection is just a little short of 1000 CDs... Good work, keep up the effort!

Re: For Funerals To Come (Free Doom Metal Compilations)
After a fair length of time where all the download links were dead (Thanks, Mediafire!), i've finally started rectifying the issue. Volume #01 is now back up and live with the others to follow shortly. Thanks for your time and there will be new sets during the summer! http://detoxcompilationcentral.blogspot ... ume-1.html

Re: For Funerals To Come (Free Doom Metal Compilations)
These doom compilations are pretty good! Thanks a lot for putting these bands out there. Would have never heard them otherwise! Currently checking out some of your other non-doom compilations at the moment as well.
