I'd like to know if there is any doom bands with portuguese (Br or Pt) lyrics. So far I only know M-26 (Br), Desire (Pt) and Insaniae (Pt).

Lapsus Dei. Orthodox also... Maybe Los Natas (stoner doom), and Dragonauta (trad doom) also

Funeral:
Samael is good, slow FD (new from Solitude)... also Lethargy Of Death and Krief de Soli, if you want something more obscure... I recently discovered Funeral Tears, which, despite the cringing name, are actually quite good... otherwise, it's the usual well known names. Are Nortt funeral? Can't make my mind up...

Black Wreath also has been a good surprise.
Funeral tears is good, but not as much as Lethargy of death which is a good mix of Shape of Despair and Skepticism.

Not sure if Black Wreath fits the category entirely... I hear quite a lot of death/doom there... it's a very good album, though!
Funeral Tears are your standrad slavic keyboard-led melodic funeral, but I'm a sucker for that...
Is SOD really funeral? I'm calling a friend for that...

yeah, BW is death doom alright but has elements of Funeral. So nice to hear Kim Larsen singing in there; it makes me want to hear the next Saturnus release! \m/

I'm looking for more trad doom, but I'm pretty picky with the stuff that I like. If anybody'd be so kind as to rec me stuff based on the fact that I like the following bands I'd quite appreciate it.
Warning
Pallbearer
Lamented Souls
The Wounded Kings
Solstice
Jex Thoth
Thanks in advance.

hey a trad doom fan on d-m, that's new and nice.
well, for me, The Wounded Kings are Stoner Doom, not trad. Maybe the last FALL OF THE IDOL (the Séance) they are Trad verging on stoner doom: http://www.myspace.com/falloftheidols
Pallbearer and Warning ok, they belong to the same league. Do you know Pallbearer will very soon release their first album on shadow kingdom recs? very good band.
I'd say UNSILENCE: http://www.myspace.com/unsilence
Lamented Souls and Solstice. Try ALTAR OF OBLIVION: http://www.myspace.com/altarofoblivion ; WHEEL: http:// www.myspace.com/wheeldoom
jex thoth : Rituals Of The Oak: http://www.myspace.com/ritualsoftheoak ; THE DEVIL’S BLOOD: http://www.myspace.com/thedevilsblood

 Re: The General Recommendation Thread
Try these: Painted Black http://www.myspace.com/blacktapestry and Before the Rain (first album is death doom, the up-coming one seems to take another direction) http://www.myspace.com/beforetheraindoomAlso Forest Of Shadows http://www.myspace.com/forestofshadows

 Re: The General Recommendation Thread
I'm wanting some Sabbath-worship bands that are lesser known on here. Bands that sound very much like early 70's Black Sabbath.
