Post Disrotted - ugly sludge from Chicago

I'd like to really recommend an incredible Chicago band that I've listened to a lot in the last 2 years,
namely Disrotted:

Their first demo "Demo I" is incredibly bleak, the song "Restless Dead" is just hypnotic:

and their debut CD is great too:

They have been a great influence on the return of Zaraza.

If you love bands like Meth Drinker (New Zealand), then this should be right up your alley.

Thanks for the tip, it's really good. The intro to Restless Dead is as simple as it is truly captivating.

I know...they have managed to make simplicity a weapon.

They lost it a bit on the "Divination" album (their latest), a little bit too much on the simplicity and repetition side IMHO.
But those first two releases are classic. One of my most prized Bandcamp discoveries.

The demo is indeed bleak as hell=)) I love the harsh vocals!

I find them far better than Meth Drinker... just to say...

The s/t debut was insane, unfortunately vinyl only:

OIL was somewhat disappointing, I admit.

I like both bands, but Disrotted are my favorite.

They released a telluric slab of sludge doom in 2019. I skipped that. It's awesome in its pure, simple, austere heaviness.

I can enjoy only their very early releases, afterwards they lost something and the music become way too "empty", lacking substance in their songs...
