Post Wijlen Wij - self titled

I was wondering how come there's no review of the high caliber self titled album by the equally high caliber band Wijlen Wij?
Just curious...

I haven't owned it yet. I usually write about stuff I actually own. Just checked out what doom-metal.com members are thinking about it in terms of a review before I actually receive it via a trade, but alas, no review, a fact that actually surprised me, due to this band's high regard among funeral doom fans, being one of the most distinguished super groups in the genre...

I would be happy to review it, after I will have received my copy, though...

You mean you didn't find a copy to buy? I guess you can find it on a platform like discogs, no?

Love the monk-like, Gothic atmosphere of the album. The first track in particular, with the clean chants and timpani against the noisy guitars, really appeals to me. Something about Pantheist has always sounded kind of off to me; perhaps too soft or light for their given style. So, the raw, droney sound of Wijlen Wij has always appealed to me more.

I actually wasn't aware that the self-titled didn't have a review when I wrote the review for 'Coronachs', but not having one by this point seems criminal.

The first album rocked.
