|2009-01-31 : Ahab in the studio|
The german funeral doom band entered the studio to record a successor to their first full length 'The Call of the Wretched Sea'. The new album will be released at the end of spring by Napalm Records. It will contain 7 tracks on the theme of the sinking of the boat The Essex: "On the 20th of November 1820, the Essex, a whaler boat from Nantucket fishing in the sea at nearly 3 000 kilometers west of the Galapagos was attacked by a sperm whale; under the violence of two successive shocks, the Essex finally sunk." It is that very story that influenced Herman Melville for his novel "Moby Dick".
