|2009-01-25 : Unholy reforms: Re-releases and new album on the way|
Unholy's former guitarist Jarkko Toivonen proclaims that the "long awaited 'Holy Hell' album should be out in few months", maybe even earlier if the vinyl press makes good time. Furthermore the band seems to want to re-release all their other releases in chronological order and has for this purpose signed to finnish Ahdistuksen Aihio Records. Toivonen reports that he has gotten hold of films of two of their gigs from the early 90's, made with two seperate cameras on each gig. They've hired a director to try to make them watchable. If so, then we might be looking at a future live DVD. But perhaps the best news for their fans is that Unholy is now back to life again. Toivonen has re-joined forces with vocalist Pasi ─ij÷ and are now working on new songs. Apparently both Ahdistuksen Aihio Records and Northern Heritage Records have shown their interest and signed the band. He estimates that it will take between 6 to 18 months to finish the new album, but that's no real waiting period compared to the time the fans have already been longing for more Unholyness.
