Quick introductory interview.

Interview with Dark Matter.
Who are you and how did the band get started?

We are Dark Matter band from Iran, about that I can say honestly it was our dream from childhood as well; we were searching and playing our instruments when we were younger and found each other by our musical taste, so now this is who we are: Dark Matter band.

Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

In the sky you can see the sun, the stars, moon and etc ... and what gives day meaning? Night, that black background of the sky lets you see the stars and moon, so Doom Metal is that pure meaning behind all of this in our eyes. Many think Doom is sad or something but I can say Doom Metal has a big meaning, it focuses on Dark things that maybe you can't see directly, but it lives anyway, something like Dark Matter in the galaxy - you can't see that with your naked eyes, but it lets you see the lights. At the end I can say we think this life is a tragedy: maybe a lot can forget that, or close their eyes to it but we cannot. About our style, I can say we try to be that Dark Background, and about our music style we try to show some new things in the Doom Metal genre and try to be our own style.

We love to think about this philosophy, and we love to be the ones - who, when they fall into those thoughts - will listen to us.

Which three bands most influenced you?

My Dying Bride and Anathema are the bands that led me to step on this way honestly when I was a child, but I listen to all the bands as well and I am a big fan of all of them in this genre and metal music.

What are your plans for the near future?

We just finished our upcoming second single track as well, and it's not much longer until we announce the release date, and I can say we are in recording sessions for our upcoming album and will try to release that in early 2019.

If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.

I would like to say a big thanks to all our friends who support us in Dark Matter - without them it's not possible - and a big thanks to your amazing site for your usual support, that's an honor for us.
