Quick introductory interview.

Interview with Moonskin.
1. Who are you and how did the band get started?

Hi, Im Teepee and I play drums. I started Moonskin in November 2013 as a wish to create some melancholic and melodic, yet powerful Heavy music, therefore, I asked some fellow musicians from my area to join the project. After a few line-up changes, the band has reached its actual shape and sound.

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

From the get-go, it was decided that the style of music was going to be doomy, because I really like Doom Metal but never had the chance to play in a Doom band. Moonskin plays a traditional style of Doom, with some epic, progressive and ambient elements. Of course, there is a good amount of traditional Heavy Metal, '70s/early '80s style.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

I believe that we have some good things to achieve, still, it was a real pleasure to play with Goatess (featuring members of the mighty Count Raven) and Barabbas, one of the best French Doom Metal bands.

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

I think we can easily trace down Black Sabbath (Heaven & Hell era) and Candlemass as the primal components of our DNA, one can add Krux as another influence, but the list goes on!

5. What are your plans for the near future?

We are about to unleash our first single, in digital form on November 16th 2017, and we plan to record our debut full length in 2018. Songs are written, we just need to record them properly.

6. If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.

We are really pleased with the response we got so far, mainly for our live shows, and are grateful to all the people who supported us or gave us a chance. Were eager to play more, record more and share our passion for the genre.
