Quick introductory interview.

Interview with Chrch.
1. Who are you and how did the band get started?

My name is Chris, I play guitar. Church formed essentially just out of a desire to play dark music.

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

It's just heavy, droning and haunting. We're not necessarily trying to break any mold, just push the envelope more and create something we're all happy with. We use this as a release from our daily lives, we didn't necessarily CHOOSE doom. I guess it's just how our frustrations in life translate.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

It's been short so far, but playing with YOB at a small local club was a pretty surreal and incredible experience that I don't think any of us will soon forget.

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

Black Sabbath, Pink Floyd, Burning Witch

5. What are your plans for the near future?

Touring, playing regionally, and we have 'Unanswered Hymns' currently coming out on tape through Transylvanian Tapes, and LP later this year through Battleground Records.
