Quick introductory interview.

Interview with GOWLOn.
1. Who are you and how did the band get started ?

Well, I play guitar in a band that's very different from GOWLOn. I just felt the need to do something different. Your know, this other band is mostly based on music theory, it's a lot of thinking and calculation involved, and at the same time it's music that I don't listen to any more. I mean, I love this band and would never give it up for anything.

But I think there is natural urge in any musician to make music that comes from the inner soul, not from the inner brain. So I started GOWLOn. Just to make music and to get rid of all that business and theory shit.

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

It wasn't a "choice", it came naturally. I am not rooted in Doom. But I grew up, and the more I have grown, the more the music that I listen to slowed down. I started loving the sound of a note, the tone, more than its context. "httmlIwr" is the first recorded essence of that development. It's weedy, dissonant, harsh, cold and mostly pretty slow and down-tuned.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

There is no career so far.

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

Belzebong, Herder, Khanate

5. What are your plans for the near future?

I am already gathering ideas for a release later this year. And I am gathering musicians for live performances.

6. If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.

Keep it up, Mike!
