Quick introductory interview.

Interview with Forever Autumn.
1. Who are you and how did the band get started?

i am Autumn Ni Dubhghaill of Forever Autumn. the band started as a solo act back in late 2000/2001. living in a small area, it węs difficult to find like minded musicians, so i decided to go it alone.

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

i would venture to say that i never chose Doom, it seem'd to have chosen me. i always thought of myself as a metal band, however, with the march of tyme i find (especially with the release of Patience of the Fire-Keeper) that my musique haes lost that metal "edge". long ago i coined the term Acoustic Doom as i watched my musique evolve. the feel of it remains true to the spirit of Doom. raw and unplugged, Acoustic Doom still maintains the essence of all that is Doom, though expressed in a different, more organic form.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

the high point of my career so far? i could argue it węs that radio play i had in Siberia many years ago, but i did recently go on tour with Italia's the Spiritual Bat. being my first tour experience, promoting the new album and sharing the stage with the great people of the Spiritual Bat, i would claim that as the high point so far. it węs a lot of fun.

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

it's difficult to pick just three. My Dying Bride. Death in June. Current 93.

5. What are your plans for the near future?

i've another show coming up quite soon and now that Patience of the Fire-Keeper is available online, i need to keep promoting.

6. If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.

doom-metal.com hęs been good to me in the past, and i am honoured to remain a part. Hail Woodland Sorcery!!
