Quick introductory interview.

Interview with Torrentiallanguor.
Interview:

1. Who are you and how did the band get started?

I am a lover of literature, philosophy, music and the arts in general. So far Iím the single person on this project. I had a few bands before (not Doom related), but I could never find space to properly try and develop my ideas. Also I felt that while many Doom bands had a powerful atmosphere, most of them were underdeveloped musically: they got old too quickly. So I thought there was something I could do about it, and five years ago I started recording riffs and melodies, and soon I began experimenting with drums and synths on the computer. The songwriting and audio production came along the way, in a long, and still ongoing, trial and error process.

2. Why did you choose Doom, and how would you describe your style?

I have chosen Doom Metal because of its combination of dense guitar harmonies and ethereal soundscapes, and because itís a form of music which takes its time to evolve, much like an adagio movement. Also, because it puts emotional strength before technical ability. My music style is made of both Ď90s Doom and Funeral Doom, along with some prog rock and classical music influences.

3. What would you consider to be the high point of your career so far?

I canít say I have a career, but my high point was when I released a whole piece with a decent production.

4. Which three bands most influenced you?

Esoteric, Robert Rich, Erik Satie.

5. What are your plans for the near future?

I hope to write more music and to improve my production. I will also maybe try a vocalist.

6. If there is anything you would like to add, the last words are yours.

I hope you listen to my music and provide any kind of meaningful comment. I will reply to all your comments.
